The Drug Effects Chart contains the most commonly used psychoactive drugs in an easy to follow table. Short and long-term effects, uses, street names and doses are given along with brief notes on injecting drugs and poly-drug use. Links to other websites will provide further information on each
substance. |

Drug Intoxication and Withdrawal Symptoms Chart The symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal are given for alcohol, benzodiazepines (Valium, Rohypnol, Serepax) opiates (e.g. heroin) and amphetamines. Some brief information about pregnancy is also provided as well as information on a useful withdrawal manual and self-help booklets on stopping drug use and withdrawal. |

Overdose advice provides both preventive and straight forward information on how to deal with an overdose. Staff and in some cases, clients, are recommended to undertake a first aid course. Information on where to obtain additional WA first aid information is given.
